Hi, I’m Rickie Kostiner.
I have always been deeply curious about the human experience, how we carry pain, adapt to stress, seek connection, and ultimately find our way back to ourselves. As a therapist, mother of two, daughter of immigrants, and longtime student of both psychology and the nervous system, I bring a relational and deeply human perspective into the therapy room. I believe healing happens when we are met with compassion, honesty, safety, and genuine connection.
I created this practice with a commitment to offer more than just a place to talk. My goal is to create a space where clients feel deeply seen and understood while also receiving practical tools, psychoeducation, somatic body based support that is all held in the container of a gentle and direct therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy should be both grounding and transformative, a process that helps you heal from the past, reconnect to the present, and hope for your future.
My approach integrates evidence-based cognitive therapies including ACT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and IFS parts work with somatic, mindful, and body-based practices such as yoga, meditation, and movement. With more than 16 years of experience across clinical, academic, and wellness settings, I take a whole-body, integrated approach to healing that honors both the mind, body, and nervous system.
I hold a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brown University, along with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Over the years, I have supported hundreds of individuals through trauma, anxiety, burnout, major life transitions, maternal mental health challenges, and emotional overwhelm by helping them cultivate deeper insight, practical coping skills, nervous system regulation, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Above all, I believe our humanness is what connects us, and allows for the space to heal. I look forward to meeting you exactly where you are and supporting you in creating a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and full of joy.
